They discontinued the JB200SC, and released the JB100 to take the place in the line of the "entry level JB".

Isn't the scale length of the 100 different though? ie strat scale, the JB200SC based on the short(ish) 25" scale, like Jason's 24.75" 200 Stereo?
Carvin Weaponry:
1985 DC150K (koa) Stereo, M22N/M22SD w/black hardware.
1985 100 Watt X Amp 2 x 12 combo (XV212) upgraded w/ 2 Vintage 30's
...and other gear.

I really liked the JB200SC. I'm not a fan of the 100. They could've easily done both, put the SC options into the C and made the 100 for cheaper.

I was a little baffled by the removal myself. When it comes to Jason I would think the more the merrier. More product, more possibility of more$ going into the great man's bank account.

 That sucks..... I was saving money for a long time to buy a JB200SC. Well I could buy a JB200 but i'm not a fan of this shade of blue. They could at least offer some colour options... :x

They do, but you waive the 10-day trial period (or at least, they used to).

Apparently Kiesel let's the artists themselves have a say in how their signature models can be customized/sold. I remember jeff saying things like, "Because that's how ____ wanted it" or "______ wanted to make this model available with such-and-such other options." I remember him saying it was Greg who wanted the GH3 to be available in more options than the GH24.

It's just sorta bummy to think someone was going to order a JB then decided not to for some minor finish option.. the more money flowing into the Becker family coffers for Jasons treatment and future security, the better of course.

At the same time Jeff and the Kiesel fam have access to info and have been privy to conversations with the Becker family/Jason and their advisers that I haven't, so I'm probably falling into the category of armchair quarterbacking.

Jason is one of those guys for me where the english language just falls short of trying to express what I feel about the spirit lurking within him. In terms of his ability to confront and continue confronting perhaps the most agonizing medical condition on the face of the earth, to me he just gets lumped in with anyone else who eventually becomes what we call a "lock-in" from ALS. But his musical spirit, and how it continues to jump the barrier that sits between his mind/soul and the physical world outside his mind, and gets onto sheet music and into recordings.. and keeps developing... I have zero ability to express my admiration for him.

It's Bluie baby...

I think they still do. I got my JB200 before that loss of 10-day trial was put into effect so I have my purple flame/blackburst JB200 and I love it to death. The tonal variety with mine (because it has the active electronics, now discontinued as well) is just incredible. I've been using the active module a lot more lately and I'm finding the boost it gives to volume is just SOOOO helpful. No need for a boost on my pedal board.

You can get a JB200 any way you like. I am getting a crazy one with tons of Option 50`s. You can still get an ST300 as well, but I wanted to help JB and get the cool trussrod cover and Carvin logo on the headstock. Mine is going to be all maple, solid color and just 1 humbucker and some other changes. So it is possibly to order a custom JB200.

You can't get an ST300 anymore. The reason for the discontinuation and the announcement of the jb100 was so that ALL of the money went to Jason instead of only some of it.
