Have we figured out what's making the Greg Howe guitars so expensive in GIS vs getting one built?

Some beautiful burst work coming out of the shop lately--nice thick, full, well applied. Kudos! I / we busted cojones when the consensus was that these odd thin bursts were icking up some otherwise-beautiful guitars, so I doff my hat to gorgeous work!

Good point, Dr. T! I was one of those people, too, criticizing the thin burst thing that happened briefly.

The burst finishes coming out now have never looked better. All the finishes, really.

Why does this vanquish with passive pickups have a battery compartment on the back??
Did this one get sold and come back?

On too slow of a connection to check if I posted this already, but it's worth re-posting, I think.

It's interesting...it's throwing me off that the one patch of grain is right at the transition, so it breaks up the burst into just two separate colors.

Eh, its pretty extremely lit. I bet its not an issue, in person. I think it looks super cool and is a great way to dress a one piece neck. Shame on that headstock choice, however.

And for clarity, this bass is in the bass demo room.

I don't mind the headstock shape, but I think it needed an AAT headstock overlay,

Something about this one is intriguing to me. I actually dig the black inlays on the RE.

Yeah, I'm digging that one. Reminds me of Surf Vader. I might have bought that, If I didn't already talk myself into another Icon 5. A couple of great used options have come to my attention, too.

Or how about the purpleheart topped Icon in stock??? I despise maple boards....bummer!
