NIN - No Top Inlays - Side Dots Only $0.00
-WSD - Standard Side Dots (Standard) $0.00
STF - Stainless Med-Jumbo Frets .048" H .103" W $40.00
-R14 - 14in Fretboard Radius (Standard) $0.00
-S6A - 3 S60A Alnico Single-Coil Pickups w/ 5-Way Switch $0.00
-400 - Black Pickups (Standard) $0.00
BC - Black Hardware $30.00

CL - Carvin Locking Tuners $30.00
BG - Black Multi-Layer Pickguard $5.00

Now, figuring out how to finish it; does anyone have any experience with "dark" tung oil? Found something here, but I'm just wondering if anyone has tried something like this before.

Sweet bolt build! IMO walnut is plenty dark that regular tung is perfect. If you want it almost rosewood-dark you could try dark tung, but I have no experience with it.

Sounds cool. Not entirely sure I like it on this wood example, but I'm sure walnut would be different.

Yeah, I think I'll wait to see how dark the wood is and then decide!

Make sure you wet the wood to simulate what it would look like with a clear coat before you decide. I have attached a link to a Warmoth body with a walnut top that has pictures with and without being wetted. It makes a big difference!

Thanks! That's super helpful. I might start with a stain too like this kit build; http://gwfweb.com/guitars/pages/bk4a.htm

A suggestion to look into: Wipe it with alcohol rather than water. You need more water to get the same effect, and water soaks in and then you have to let the body dry again for a while. Alcohol basically evaporates without effecting anything...at least, the few times I've done it.
