I got a Bolt Plus kit with mahogany body & neck and ebony fretboard.

. I used stain to make a sort of sunburst.

Thanks to this forum, I found the schematic for wiring the pickups to the 5 way switch. I have slightly rounded the sharp points on the headstock.

Looking forward to seeing it once it's done. I'm still considering doing a kit, my times limited right now. It'll have to be a winter project.

The guitar is complete, still working on the intonation.

That looks really nice.
I especially like the subtle burst effect you did.
Good work!

Thanks guys. I used Mini Wax stain. A few coats of dark walnut on the edges, a coat of 4 parts natural to 1 part red mahogany for the the transition and then used about 6 coats of tung oil over all the wood. Every part fit perfectly, so the assembly is super easy. :D :D :D I have built kit and scratch built amps for the last 3 years so figured it was time to try a guitar, and I am glad I did. If you have a few hours time on your hands and some basic hand tools, you should built a Kiesel kit guitar or bass. The results are very gratifying.

Killer! I love the kits and I wish they would sell more of them!

I just put some studio time in on mine last night.
