Brief NS1 nylon demo

Postby Valenti » Fri Nov 21, 2008 8:40 pm

Brief (and somewhat rough) demo of the natural nylon sound using only a Boss GT10 for reverb.

Man I am surprised that no one has commented on how good you sound in that song. Not note for note, of course, but a superb rendition.

I myself have been cruising YouTube for lessons for that very song, so that when I order my guitar soon, I will be ready. I have found quite a few. You should post a video of your playing. :applause:

Thanks. It's not my best version--but was done in an extreme hurry, in one take, without warm-up. Learned the song not long after seeing Mason Williams do it live on the Smothers Brothers Summer Show (in 68 or so).

The more I hear those synth guitars the more I am amazed at the tones they are capable of.
[2] DC7X 27", Loomis 26.5", S7G 27.5", Walden CE550, Ibanez 7 nylon string.
My Kiesel wish list - All 7 strings. All 27" scale option.
New symmetrical V7X, X227X, TL7X, C77X Bolt [smooth heel]
Semi-Hollow CT7. Head or Headless [CODA's photoshop]

Keep in mind what you heard in this demo was "real nylon," not anything from the hex output. (In fact, the guitar just went back to Carvin today because the hex isn't working properly.)

That being said, I think the sound quality from a non-traditional nylon string (e.g., no sound hole) and internal pickup is pretty amazing.

Was that recorded on a multi-track recorder-if so you should lay a lead track to it with the same nylon sound to bring out the melody... nice playing!
