Vader Nut Issues (tuning)

Postby Jeffjwnz » Mon Feb 19, 2018 6:39 pm

Hi, this is my first vader and the high e string falls out of tune on bends constantly. I think the issue is that the nut bolt isn't fitting snug against the socket on the inside. I've tried using different nut screws from the other strings and it still has the issue. I keep tightening and tightening the string until but I'm pretty sure it isn't holding snug even though its very torqued.

Any threads on replacing the entire headpiece, or if there an easy fix (i.e. putting something in the bottom of the hole)?

Contact Kiesel's customer service - sounds like a warranty issue.

What gauge is your high E? I use 10s w/ no issues whatsoever.
Current Carvins:
2010 Bolt (Candy Red Metallic)
2013 Bolt Plus (Koa)
2016 Black n Blue VSEVEN
2017 TT SCB6

Wish List
Some sort of multiscale 6 HSS with RAD ASH
JB Numbers Guitar (July sale has given me the itch!)

I bought a used Vader V8 form guitar center that did a similar thing at the D-string. I took it back, ultimately. It shouldn't be a problem, though. Hopefully you are the original owner to take advantage of the warranty.
