Change active/passive switch operation

Postby roncarr » Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:48 am

I had built a BK40 bass several years ago which also has active electronics. In order to activate the active mode the tone pot needs to be pushed in. I would like to reverse the operation so it is passive when pushed in and active when pulled out. The control pot is mounted to a PCB. Has anyone with the same setup tried reversing the operation of the control pot on a PCB? There is no switch on the PCB to change it. The only wires on it are for the battery, pickups and input jack switch.

The only way to change that would be to remove the pot from the PCB board and wire from the pot to the board. More trouble than it's worth IMO and high risk of damaging the board in the process.

Yeah, after really looking at it, it does look like a pain and risk to do.
