Green plus birdseye is always a cool-looking combo. :)

Something kinda sorta similar to:

...except vader, and burled.

Awesome job! amispy. Looks cooler than I pictured in my head. Although not to be nit-picky but I did order the black pick up poles.

Wow! That's good news! Sounds very promising. I put in my order some 13 days after you did yours. Tomorrow will make
six weeks for me. Perhaps there's light at the end of the tunnel after all! I'm waiting for my headless VB5 bass!

Apologize for the bad lighting and photography. These pics do not capture the depth of color and shading of the woods. Needless to say I am blown away with the overall quality and feel of the Vader.

FedEx delivered on 12/23, so a nice Christmas it was. Quick timeline of events for perspective's sake.

12/02 Contracted for the sale of my house.
12/19 Received shipping notification from Kiesel!
12/19 Contacted Kiesel to attempt change of delivery address. Kiesel accommodated me. Thank you!
12/20 Closed sale on my current house.
12/21 Packed up belongings, moved to storage, moved in with in-laws until new house sale is complete.
12/22 Came down with the flu.
12/23 FedEx! Arrives with a timely present that made my Holiday Season perfect.

All my recording and amplification gear is packed up and in storage for a few more weeks, so I can only strum away acoustically for now.

PS: The case is almost as cool as the guitar.

Congrats! Beautiful guitar. The burled maple is really cool. Much different looking from what I typically see in burled maple. Mother nature never fails to impress!

Enjoy,

Wow!! It's about time! I was waiting for the pictures! A beautiful axe, it is!
Congrats to ya. I especially like the itinerary you posted; except the flu part!
A very good Christmas indeed! Enjoy your new Vader.

I have seven weeks, coming up tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get a shipping email notice,
in the not too distant future. You did mention that FedEx did the delivery. Over here, (Tulsa OK)
I'm not too impressed with FedEx. When they deliver something to our home, the guy
never even rings the bloody bell!

But, I'm not concerned. I have the ring doorbell & Arlo cameras on the property.
When I get my shipping notice, I'll have the FedEx guy under surveillance! I'll know when he's there!!

Oh yeah. I almost forgot to ask about that case. If that's the case for some $70.00 that they ship it with,
it's a really nice case! Wow! Looking forward to that!

$60, for the headless. :) Yeah, that's their "ultimate soft case". It's definitely no "gig bag". I'd call it a "semi-ridgid case".

For the 50% off price that they sell them when you order it with a guitar, there's basiclly no better value out there.

It's a bit harder sell if you're just buying them at the full price of $140 ($120 for headless) , because there are better cases out there for the same (or not much more) money. But what better reason to buy a case for 50% off than buying a new guitar to fill it. ;)

Good points, Spudmonkey, about the case. When I placed my order, it came with the SC10B, for $70.00
I looked on the Parts & Accessories section & checked the cases. That SC10B isn't even listed. Oh well, whatever!
Anyway, today is seven weeks for me! (49days) Getting closer!

And LoftyOaks, as soon as you get your stuff out of storage & give the axe a go, we have to have a report!
I know it's gonna sound sweet; but we surely would like to know!

So far loving the Vader!

Interesting thing about burl. I pictured in my mind's eye a tighter curly burl. Before I ordered I waffled between the flamed maple and the burl. It looks like I ended up with a happy medium between the two.

To me it looks like emerald flames emanating from the center of the pickups. Which I think is pretty cool.

Will report on the sound once married with electricity!

Trying to find a way to get a better picture also.
