The 52 Plus Club

Postby JCG » Fri Jul 26, 2019 2:07 pm

Anyone else have a build take 52 or more weeks to complete?
I got the build quote for my SCB6 on 7/24/18, and gave the ok to start on 7/26/18.
Instead of being upset, I actually see the humor in this.
I would have no problem setting a record for longest build time. 8)

I sold something to a customer at work, where the vendor said they were "nearly production ready".

This was CES 2017. According to the customer portal they just set up, we're still at least 6mo out from shipping. :?

Is there such a thing as being too early of an adopter? :laughhard:

edit: And silly me...I thought "52 plus" was quantity of guitars, not weeks. I was like, "Huh...that seems low."

Over a year?!? They must be waiting for the tree to grow to a certain size. It'd be hilarious if you didn't like it and returned it! Only a Carvin is worth waiting that long for.
