This one is my new favorite! I just came up with almost the same specs for a Bolt+ in my mind yesterday.

Thanks mg ! :D

A guy named "Farmer Dan" has (had?) one very similar that I really like too. My build we be basically the same as yours but have an ebony fretboard and would be made of mahogany. Koa is too rich for my blood. Possibly "zebra coil" pickups too, but I'm not sure. I used to think only neck through was good enough but after playing my bolt neck USA Made Charvels for a few years I think bolt on guitars fit me best.

Now this, THIS, is the standard headstock I wished Carvin still used; no the current straight-banana a la Kramer. Just like the headstocks in my signature!

:applause:

What a Bolt; love Pearl Silver!

Arellanon, correct me if I'm missing something, but that IS the standard Carvin headstock on most guitar models. The SB headstock is only standard on the SB and the TLB60.

Since this thread has been recently resurrected, I now have a Bolt and can contribute:

Hardtail Bolt, Swamp Ash body (clear gloss finish), maple neck (tung oil finish), birdseye maple fretboard w/no inlays, 3 S60A pickups:

I have the Wilkie blocked on my bolt . I still like the Wilkie because the saddles are quiet. I don't have the Wilkie blocked on my DC and it works just fine, but I'm not a dive bomb player.

I guess I might as well add the new one to this thread:

I've had it 10 days so it's too late to get my money back, not that I want to return it. This thing is awesome! I had to adjust the pickups some, but it's producing some sweet tones. I particularly like the TwinBlade in the bridge position. It's great for high-gain stuff.

Did I mention Diamond Pearl White is one great looking finish?
