Dude, that is a very nice looking bass. I have always love the neck showing through look. And clear flamed maple just tops it off. If I ever got into playing bass, I would want one just like that. :applause:

rsnell - I too will soon have a sunsetburst Icon 5 - but with a reverse headstock, black hardware and J99A's. Yours is a beauty - and makes me even more anxious for November 26 to come.

Mine is honeyburst. Sunsetburst is a bit darker.

I am thrilled with this bass. I put DR Nickel Low Riders on it, and tweaked up the internal gain pot by about a quarter turn.

Definitely worth the wait. I couldn't buy anything comparable at twice the price.

Enjoy...

Nice! I put DR FatBeams on and also tweaked the gain pot.

I very strongly recommend the radiused pickups in either single coil or hum bucking.

The best string to string balance I've ever had a hold of.

I also notice other manufacturers beginning to offer radiused pickups.

Carvin's are the best. I have no doubt.

Here's my offering. Just came this week. Ahead of schedule and way nicer than I could possibly imagine.

Many thanks to Manny, Alex and all at Carvin for a phenominal instrument and for having me as an artist.Image

Super nice bass. If you hit edit on your reply and then hit return between each of your photos they will line up vertically instead of horizontally and make it much easier for people to look at.
