I've never held a Koa electric in my hands----would you Koa Owners say this wood makes for a heavier or lighter guitar?

I'd definitely say mine was heavier than the average guitar, although I haven't weighed it to see.

I expect my next one may be heavier, as it will be a hard tail and passive, so no cavities required for tremolo springs and battery compartment as my current one.

Update: 4Kg / 8.82lb - so yeah, heavy!

Nothing a decent shoulder strap won't be able to compensate for!

They weren't all Carvins. They will be soon. All the Ibanez and Hamers are sold, 3 of my 4 Caparisons are up right now on the 'bay and 3 more Carvins due in by late September.

When the last three arrive, family shot.

In other distressing gearwhore news, I went on a pedal binge today. Bought 12 pedals (various EHX, TC, MXR, Way Huge) to go along with the insane amount of pedals I've had from 25 years of guitar playing and a Boss GT-100 (more for the effects than the amp modeling) to replace my GT-10. It's time to assemble the pedalboard of DOOM.
