Yea, it really looks cool over swamp ash, but I really wish I would have opted for a flame or quilt top. Just gives me a reason for some new toys, right?!

She's a keeper indeed! :D

Roy and 1GM, between 1GM's clear-backed walnut and Roy's BBE (and thanks to your reference to VSNrocks' Sapphire) here is my response to Roy's mention in my NGD thread of "with a Floyd...or,...)

My NEXT SC90. 8)

BBE, clear back and neck, mahogany neck and body.

Haha! Not really. I had that one planned out a few months ago, in Deep Orange. But I ended up ordering that color on my DC600 currently being built. Yesterday, when I got my SC90, I knew a Floyd version was a go, and after seeing VSN's Sapphire with the BBE, I knew what the color would be. My first Carvin was Sapphire (or I guess they called it Trans Blue back then) so it's fitting. 8)

Love the SC90 body shape, and the SH250 (I like the pointy horn). Wish they would do this in a bolt on 22 fret Tele style guitar (traditional single coil/lipstick Tele type pickup configuration included)
Current Carvin Gear: CS4S(Classic Sunburst)
In The Oven: Bolt

Hi everybody. I'm new in the forum, but I am not new to Carvin. I have been a Carvin customer since 1996.
For my Carvin gear, se sig.

But for the purpose of this thread, to spread some love for the SC90, I'll happily add mine to the family.
This is the absolute best guitar I have ever played, and this is the one that will follow me to my grave.

Enough "talking", here it is:

This is my first day in the forum, so I will take some more/better pics later (now that I got all working).

I just got this one today. Been sitting on the edge of my seat for this one. I tried, in the past, a Les Paul, and I wasn't sold on that one at all, too everything.... too thick, too heavy, just didn't give me the "buy me" signal. I own a Carvin LB75 bass, and I thought if this SC90 plays just half as good, I'd be a happy camper. I wasn't disappointed one bit, this one is staying for the duration.

Thanks 1Gearmadman. I just wish I could have found this guitar along time ago. When I decided to buy a new one, it came down to the SC90 and the TL60. I just didn't like the pup switch right below the strings. I own and play a Strat and the one thing I don't care for is sometimes I go a little far down when I strum and hit the switch, which throws it off to a different pup, which don't always sound that good at that particular time. I won't have that problem with the SC90.

Congrats on your new SC90. I did not purchase mine new but used and if there was one thing I would add to mine, it would just be the block inlays such as what is on yours. But it still does not keep me from playing it!! I am sure your going to like it very much. Now all you have to do is throw up some sound clips of you jamming on it on the Carvin made music thread down below!!! Tim
