As a big fan of this song, I thought it was worth adding this recent video of them performing it on Conan, complete with 2 acoustics, a baby grand, at least a 12-person string section, a tympani and a 2nd percussionist.

Cheap Trick's new one, "Bang Zoom Crazy... Hello." I don't know how they do it. They almost never stray very far from their basic style and format, but every song has its own distinctive hook. Sorry about the contentious split with drummer Bun E. Carlos, but Rick Nielsen's son does a good job in his place.

Excellent news! I'll have to pick it up.

I just happened onto Jeff Ament's (the bouncing bassist from Pearl Jam, who I'm not wild about, far prefer Nirv, AIC, Soundgdn, MLBone, STP etc from that era) side project RNDM, the second album Ghost Riding which is an interesting title track.. but what really buried itself into my brain is the song Comfortable from the same album, which is brand new (2016 Monkeywrench Records). What really makes this band is the vocals of Robert Arthur who's known for his solo material (plus Fistful of Mercy and Lonely Astronauts). Wild, lilting melodies that seem to travel down oddball alleys before they get to you.

Aliases - Derangeable
http://www.metalinjection.net/av/full-a ... am-is-here
Oz Noy - Who Gives A Funk
Great bunch of guest players on the disc - Dweezil Zappa, Robben Ford, Joe Bonamassa, John Medeski, Corey Glover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QURMOmibBX0
Both are outstanding! I pre-ordered / crowd funded each - the new business of music. I'm old and dig getting signed copies of CDs and it's never been easier.
Hopefully one day either SikTh or Aliases will tour the US - fingers crossed.
I'm dying to see Oz live, but I couldn't make the NYC thing happen this time around.
One day.

Buckethead. Waited 20 years, finally got tickets to see him live so I`m pretty stoked. Had some Richie Kotzen playing earlier.
Seems to be the summer for great guitar shows. Saw Satch a few weeks ago, got great seats at the Gen Axe show on Sunday, Buckethead, Robben Ford coming up, plus the G4 in August.

+1 on this . . .
I saw Andy do his entire Sgt. Peppers all instrumental release plus about an hour of encore stuff at The Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, Tx and was so impressed I am actually changing the way I have always played to try to emulate his approach. And, I still $uk [I'm my own worst critic] but it is making me better!
The dude is just a phenomenal guitar player!

Right now I'm listening to Vin Scully call the Dodgers/Giants game
I'm trying to catch each of his games (he focuses mostly on the home games) this year as it's his last. My earliest baseball memories include his voice and that of Mell Allen's "this week in baseball..."
One of these day's all catch this thread while listening to something music related

Vernon Reid's "Rig Rundown" from Premier Guitar:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtHd2v9YiEA
Huuuuuge fan of his. His was also the only Parker guitar I had ever really genuinely liked the looks of. Looks like he's with PRS now. He's doin' some interesting things with pitch-to-midi, and a crazy pedalboard and multi amp setup.
