Pick up Advice with a Super Distortion

Postby keniko » Mon Apr 17, 2017 2:44 pm

I have a Gibson Firebird with a Duncan JB in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge. My JB took a dump and need a good match. Doing the research it's looking like a PAF Pro or a Super 2. I have a Carvin C22J-1. Would that be a good match? Thanks in advance

A C22B in the neck should response very similarly to the JB. I never went with that hot of a neck humbucker, though. The most I did was a C22T in the neck, which is like putting a PAF there. Works great.

Guitar theorem: G=X+1 where G= guitars one needs, and X = guitars one has.

Do or do not; there is no understand.
