Rewiring a Vintage CM-140

Postby Stargazer735 » Mon Oct 16, 2017 4:26 pm

Hi, all!

I'm trying to rewire a vintage CM-140 and I'm running into a bit of trouble.

I was able to find a wiring diagram (http://www.carvinmuseum.com/decade/images/77-cm140wiring.html) but the jacks have me a bit confused. It looks like there are 2 stereo output jacks, but one is labeled as mono... and yet, it has 3 prongs and 3 wire connections to it.

Curious - does anyone else have experience with these? Does this diagram need to be corrected, or is it just me?

Thanks!

I currently own 2 1983 CM 140's..........never had to re wire one.........the jacks are both mono.........or one is stereo the other (main) jack is mono...........if you are running mono, you use the one closest to the rear. Curious, what color is your CM140?? Thanks Wendell

PS: that diagram is for like 1981 or so and older, with only 3 knobs total too............82/83 had 4 knobs total, just saying
