The new Desecresy album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0Xi-hbN9U4&t=220s
I didn't like their previous two, but so far this one sounds like a return to the form of the first two. Way less homogenized and gentle.

Steven Wilson - To The Bone
I'm enjoying the new album WAY more than I thought I would've from the preview tunes.
It's all around fantastic for my money.

I don't impress easily. These kids have managed it. Took the "classic rock" sound and made it new again.
(One of the riffs in the guitar solo is almost straight out of "The Rover." Love it!)

I swear when I see them it looks like karaoke, that they're lip syncing under an audio track... They look barely pubescent straight out of Junior high school battle of the bands. But they've got that Zep vibe down pat.

Pseudogod -- Deathwomb Catechesis.
That album... it never gets old. Definitely one of the best slabs of metal of the 21st century. Incredible live band, too.

I hope this record label never goes under... They've lost a couple of their higher-profile artists through death in the last year, but they put out so. much. good. stuff.

Didn't know where to put this so I just put it here. Funny that the simple opening figure which is actually playable as a simple three fret box below the 5th fret, is stretched so dramatically... .
