Buckeye burl CS424 NGD

The specs. They actually made a mistake here which I'm very grateful for - I asked for no inlays but they put the abalone dots. I love em!

Very nice! The inlays go well with the top, it was definitely a happy accident. Congrats and enjoy

I'm happy you're happy!

Here's the mean teaser pic that Flock wouldn't let me send.

Hahaha... I guess it would have been a bit cruel!

Glad she came out like you wanted!

Can't find the right words. Let's go with F'n Awesome. Has to be one of the nicest guitars I've ever seen. Great job!

Those shots were taken with the last little bit of sunshine we had here in ohio. Here are a few indoor shots of her in the case.

And the gold hardware just makes for the icing on the cake-----great vision, Appollyon! I also like how the swirls of the headstock kind of contrast with the body. The whole guitar has me thinking of Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Great vibe, congrats!

So onto my impressions...

I was absolutely floored by the level of quality Carvin came up with for the koa body and neck. It's so stunning it could pass for flamed. The BEM board is one of the best I've seen on a Carvin: darker, richer, and more figured than the other one I have (plus she plas like a dream).

And then the buckeye burl top...holy mother of god did Carvin do a great job first choosing which part of the wood to use and also buffing, polishing, using ancient arcane secrets only known to Carvin to bring out the inherent beauty this wood possessed. I owe a big thank you to everyone at Carvin who helped make her what she is now. Also a big thank you to Lisa at Exotic Woods USA and her miller, Seth, who chose this specific piece telling me it'd make a "pretty good top".

Wet clean-up in aisle number two!
Totally off the leash in every way.
Congrats.
Let's see how many pages we can grow this thread to.
BTW I do some courier work and we sometimes we get a subcontractor delivery from UPS. so no surprise seeing a passenger car deliver your prize. Now if I as was that driver.......

That is sweet! Not gonna see a lot of other guitars that you are going to confuse for your CS6, that is for sure. You must pinch yourself when you look at your collection :)

I'm super glad the dots don't bother you. I'm afraid I may have had to deal with a little temp insanity ha. They actually disappear into the board pretty well and I'm finding it difficult to take my eyes off the top and headstock anyways  The Koa neck wood looks amazing!

You need to update your signature now. I can't wait till I have too also. I certainly will be calling Lisa at Exotic Wood and hoping that my somewhat toned down choices will be acceptable to Carvin when the time comes. Please. Thank You.

:applause:

So now you know, it could happen.
:)
Why is it a 4 and not a 6?
Maybe we need a new numerical designation for this bad boy.
