Headstock logo pics?

Postby IndianaGentry » Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:46 pm

I've searched the site a bit, and can't find what I want... Is there a thread that shows the different headstock logo colors?

I'm putting together a new Carvin, and I can't decide if I want to get the abalone or silver Carvin logo on the aquaburst quilted maple headstock. On one hand, the abalone might match the color and pattern. On the other hand, the silver logo might stand out just enough to look cool with the silver hardware.

Does anyone know where I can find these pics?

As far as I'm aware, there is no such thing as a silver logo.

Closer might be white.

Here's abalone next to chrome :

Hmmmm... You know what? You're right!

I was talking to a friend about the abalone, and he said "go with silver." It sounded so reasonable that I assumed it was there. (My other guitars have gold logos, so it made perfect sense that they would have silver.) Looking at the builder, there is not a silver listed there. LOL

Guess that means I'm going with abalone! :) I think white would stand out way too much.

It sounds like it's going to be a great build Bro. We've suggested Chrome on the product suggestions area, but abalone looks great against flamed and quilted tops, especially on blues, purples and greens. I did it on a quilted orangeburst and it looks beautiful and I tied in the abalone for the inlays and control knobs too ... lots of porn.

Cheers,

Might I suggest the black-over white drop-shadow?

Hmmmm…

I've got Gold, Abalone, Black, White, and White on Black Drop Shadow on my guitars. I think it depends on the rest of the build, actually.

Well, we know it's Aquaburst and Chrome hardware so far. No mention of fretboard or inlay materials.

Hey Spud

Thanks for the post with the different logos, that was great. I remember seeing a post by Mike Jones where he was showing all the different headstocks available, but I can't remember where it was. I think it might be useful as well.

Cheers,

That was the exact thread I was thinking of! For some reason, I thought it was a Mike Jones thread and searched by his name. Humph, who woulda thunk.

Awesome thread though, I just about fell off my seat when I saw Appollyon's nine headstocks in one photo, fantastic.

Cheers,

Birdseye maple fretboard, abalone dots.

Thanks for the input, guys! I'll go check out that other thread.
