That's a great perf. An old friend of mine and drummer that I played with, we both discovered that performance (which is available on it's own in the Jazz Casual Series) in the larger collection called The Coltrane Legacy on VHS, which we used to watch religiously thru the eighties. The big collection also had gems like Sanatamaria's (a personal fave of mine) Afro Bluehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-56JerzFO4
this OTHER take of Impressions with my childhood hero and idol, Eric Dolphy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goXvpLMrY54
and the piece between the two men that possessed me the most, the superb live TV take of My Favorite Things, which runs thru both major and minor soloing by Coltrane and with him in really superb form, pretty much at the top of his game on soprano. Elvin Jones paces the piece with his unbelievable left hand, ratcheting up into pulsating waves of one long extended fill going around and around the kit, chopping the pulse into endless tiny bits. I even love Dolphy's lilting flute solo, famously a bit stiff or inhibited, but there's something about it that always hit me in the gut. It's really just unbelievable... you won't hear Coltrane any better.. when he slips back out into the major scale, the peaks of emotion combined with unbelievable technique at roughly 8:40 are just musical nirvana:

I learned very young that these are the guys to look up to, these quiet men in suits, who were subject to all kinds of nastiness when out on the road and trying to get paid, these guys were the real dudes pushing the boundaries of the mind and playing, more "out there" than any big hair poser with a pointy guitar and a comic book Thor pose.

Coltrane had a finished but lost studio record released last week: "Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album".
The deluxe 2 cd set arrived today.
Here's an upload somebody did of one track.

And it figures, a heavy SRV admirer and Pink Floyd, Gilmour in particular, took over as my main inspiration [guitar and sax] after hearing Santana's Black Magic Woman made me pick up a guitar for the first time and . . . I never got to see ANY of them live!

That's messed up . . .

Oh, I know. I finally got to see Frampton in a 500 seater. Great show. Highly recommended.

SRV will be tough. RIP.
Gilmour says he won't be touring any more.
Santana is still a possibility. I think he's overseas at the moment.
