Kiesel Vader 7x Trem Setup help

Postby LoochTheMooch » Sat Nov 14, 2020 9:20 am

Hi, I've looked and I found a post that partially solved my issue, but I am having a nightmare trying to setup my Vader to my liking and hoping someone can help me out. I'm new to floating trems and there's no pdf to be found. I'm pretty decent with setting up my DC800. I'm aware that the screws in the back will bring the bridge back toward the body as i tighten them or bring the bridge toward the neck as I loosen it, but every time I mess with my action by raising the saddles it messes with the height of the bridge too. I'm kind of just wondering what order to do everything in. Obviously tuning up and checking the neck relief is first. I have not messed with the posts but the thread i was reading through earlier mentioned using the posts to set the action and setting the saddles to match the radius of the neck. If I were to do this step by step, when would adjusting the screws in the back and tightening/loosening the posts come in to play? When would I set the saddles to match the radius? What is the optimum height for the lowest and highest string? Do I set that after I've done everything else? I'm incredibly confused by the extra steps. Like I said, I've done setups on my fixed bridge guitars before, I just need to know what the process is for this bridge.
