NBD...Icon 5...British Racing Green

Postby songwriter21 » Fri Aug 27, 2021 7:14 am

She's pictured with my gigging workhorse B5. The color jumps out in brighter lighting, and looks sleek in darker lighting. The thing sounds monstrous, and the low-B is SICK. Thinking this bass is right around 9 pounds...plays so easily. Trying some black and chrome knobs next, as the current ones from Warwick (perfect fit, btw), look too red in pics, insetad of more brown/orange in person.

I play the 5-string bass. Why? More bass.

6'ers are cool, too. ;)

Awesome, brother.

Do my eyes see a hog/maple neck?

I do love their neck heel.

How are these PU's?

Lastly, outdoor pic? :)

Correct, it's a hog/maple neck. The humbuckers (my preference) sound fuller and a bit more rounded than the single coils, at least the singles in my B5 (J99s). I just added some more treble to get some more bite on the Icon. The bass sounds BIG. I'd get an outdoor shot, but we have thunder and lightning right now...boooo.

Awesome looking bass! Did you happen to return this bass or did kiesel make a direct copy of this? This same one was listed on their site in stock!

Sharp looking bass. Coincidentally, I just posted about which pickups to get when I order an Icon 5. Are those the RAD humbuckers?
